Man Period

by Adrienne L.

The room was completely dark
With only the streetlights outside
Peeping through the window shutters.
We lay there embracing each other, holding on tight.
My arms wrapped around him and
His around me.
He kisses me and strokes my face.
His breathing starts to grow longer and deeper.
His lips slow and eventually pause.
I hear a long inhale and feel his lips quivering against mine
I hear a trembling exhale and sniffles break the silence.
I think to myself, "What's happening?"
I realized I was witnessing this man cry for the first time.
He doesn't cry. Ever.
In shock, I attempt to help him wipe his tears.
I ask him what is wrong.
"I've never been so happy in my life," he says.
"I had never thought the feelings I have for you were possible.
That is all I want in my life; to be with you, rich or poor."
Smiling and laughing I ask if he is on his period.
His tears have given me joy for I know that he is comfortable
Around me enough to show his emotions.
"I was crying because I really want to propose to you right now but I can't."
I don't need any of that.
As long as I get to see that smile,
There's nothing I want more in the world than your happiness.
I'm truly blessed to have met you.
And I cannot wait to grow old with you.
To me, we are particles and atoms that return to the ground
Once we have had our time.
If there truly is a God, the time we've experienced together
Is proof alone.

I'm sorry if I embarrass you <3

Life on Instagram

Just before the quarter started I put together a vegetable garden in order to eat more organic foods and not have to rely on buying chemically treated market vegetables.  To be honest I have more greens than I can even consume! So apparently annoying little caterpillars have been helping me.. ):<
Also tried out the Beautiful Mess app that just launched last week. Although you have to buy packs in order to use them it's pretty fun.  If you're part of the iPhone family you should check it out in the App Store.
I went to LACMA for the first time (well apparently I went when I was small but I don't remember) for a school project and it's really neat. There were a ton of interesting exhibits there and I hope I get to come back really soon. I didn't have the time to see everything they had. It was a really nice way to spend the weekend.

After almost a year of being jobless, I've been desperately applying everywhere due to the stress of being broke and running out of money.  Anywayyy... I got calls for several interviews this week and job offers that were just too far to be worth it.. Until today. Two companies both called me today offering me a position. Huzzah! HOWEVER! I wasn't sure which one to pick. They were both relatively the same level but different fields of work. I wish I could take both jobs and just work in the summer but since school isn't over yet I don't have the time. ):
I finally decided on one place. Although the work environment isn't my ideal option, most of the employees I've met so far seem to be amazingly nice and they seem pretty flexible.
I'm hoping things will go well; I'm super stoked on meeting new people.

After a year of just being a full time student it's going to be a tough adjustment to get back into the work force. From working almost full time before to zilch is pretty drastic.

That's my little rave on the incoming paychecks I will receive. (:
Yay for shopping! (But first bills....)
